Essential Camera Gear and Electronics for an Antarctica Expedition

Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Heading to Antarctica is a dream for many, and capturing every moment of this once-in-a-lifetime experience is a must. That’s why we’re packing our bags full of camera gear and electronics to ensure we don’t miss a single moment.

Our camera gear list has grown over the years, and now our electronics definitely outweigh our clothes and other gear. From Canon cameras to Olympus waterproof cameras, we’re ready to capture the beauty of Antarctica in stunning detail.

Starting with the camera equipment, we have the Canon 5D Mark II, a gem of a camera that takes great video and allows for wide-angle shots. We also have the Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18 MP as a backup body, just in case.

For quick and spontaneous moments, we’re bringing along the Olympus PEN E-P2 with a 17mm lens. This camera is perfect for capturing unexpected moments on the go.

When it comes to lenses, we have the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM for vast landscape photography, the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L II IS for close-up shots of wildlife, and the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II for portraits.

For video, we have the Panasonic GH1 for HD video and the Rode VideoMic Pro VMP Shotgun Microphone for high-quality sound. And of course, we can’t forget our trusty GoPro HD HERO2 Outdoor Edition for capturing extreme sports moments.

To ensure we have all the accessories we need, we’re bringing along the XShot Camera Extender for underwater footage, the F-Stop Loka Camera Bag for organization, the Lowepro DryZone 200 for waterproof protection, and the Manfrotto 732CY M-Y Carbon Tripod for time-lapse photography.

And of course, we can’t forget our computers, iPhone, and computer storage for backing up all our footage.

With our bags packed full of camera gear and electronics, we’re ready to embark on our Antarctica expedition. Stay tuned for updates on our journey and the incredible moments we capture along the way. Only four days to go until we leave for Antarctica!
